The pictures in this section are all of South Polar Skuas, primarily taken in Senegal, mostly before the advent of digital photography. The identification and ageing of these birds is mine, so blame me if any are wrong. It could well be that a small number of these birds contain Brown Skua genes. We believe that a pure Brown Skua in the North Atlantic is highly unlikely. (Dick Newell)
