Following the 2004 CBC Photo Competition we are having another one in 2005.

This year we will have a monthly vote for 'Picture of the Month' which will leave just twelve star pictures (plus maybe a few highest scoring losers) at the end of the year to be reviewed for '2005 Picture of the Year.'

The winning monthly photo will feature on the CBC Website front page and the 2005 Picture of the Year will be published in the annual Cambridge Bird Report. A small prize will be awarded to the winner .

You can vote for 3 or more pictures which will share 10 votes. So, for example, you could allocate these 5, 3, 2 for a first, second and third (or 6, 3, 1 or 4, 3, 2,1 etc.).

The deadline for each month is either the 15th of the following month, or when we have received the votes from 10 voters - whichever is the later.

Jim Lawrence has kindly volunteered to organise the monthly and annual competitions, I will continue to maintain the photos section of the website.

The only rule is that photos must be taken in Cambridgeshire in 2005.

Please direct any questions to Jim ( )

Please note that the copyright of all images remains with the photographer and no image may be reproduced without the photographer's permission.
